Day 1

Sunday – September 22nd

Departure by  KM  Malta  Airlines 640 to Catania at 06.00am.  Group must be at the airport at  3.30 am.   On our arrival in Catania,  after  a    light  breakfast,   we set off  for  Cefalu’  a  quaint  fishing  village   that  attracts  so  many  tourists  especially in  Summer.  A  short  walk  will take  us  right  to  the  centre  where we  may  visit  the  famous  Cathedral  and  possibly  those  who  wish may  hear  Mass. Lunch  today  will be  at  Cerda  where  we  can  enjoy  a typical   menu’  based  on  artichokes   that  are grown in  the  fields  around the  same  restaurant. After   coffee  we  proceed   to  Palermo   from  where  we  embark   with  our  coach  for   Civitavecchia  above    Rome.  We  take  our  cabins  on   board   for the night,  where  we  can    experience  the  thrill of  being  on  a  Cruise. Ship  is  scheduled  to  leave   at  6pm  and  our  arrival   in  Civitavecchia is   due  at  7.15am.

Day 2

Monday – September 23rd

Finally  on land   we start   moving  towards   Rivotorto  Assisi  where we  will  take  our  rooms  in  our  comfortable   Hotel  and  then  we  meet   for  a  delicious  lunch   together .Time  permitting  in  the  afternoon   we  will  go  to  visit    the  well- known  Santa  Maria  degli  Angeli  and the  area  around  it .  Later   in  the  evening  dinner  awaits  us  in  the  Hotel  restaurant  (fb)


Day 3

Tuesday – September 24th

After our buffet breakfast we shall  leave for a most interesting  tour of the  surrounding area. This region is referred to as the green heart of Italy. Umbria is famous for the supreme beauty of the countryside, its unique small Mediaeval villages and the excellent  food the whole area has to offer. Today we visit Assisi with its laid back atmosphere  and the picturesque narrow winding roads. We shall go straight to the world famous Basilica and admire what is still left from the last earthquake that threatened its destruction. This is the City of Peace, and you really breathe serenity and peace everywhere .Dedicated to Saint Francis , the Patron Saint of Italy , Assisi is a real gem in the Religious and Historic  Culture .,Tradition, and  artistic beauty of the whole country.. We shall also be visiting San Damiano and Santa Chiara  and later on  also a visit to Carlo Acutis Tomb located in Assisi’s Sanctuary of the Renunciation,  a part of the Church of Santa Maria  Maggiore. The Sanctuary is located on the spot  where a young  St. Francis of Assisi is said to have cast off his rich  clothes  in favour of a  poor habit. A  mouth- watering dinner awaits us at our very comfortable Hotel in the evening. ( Hb In  hotel)

Day 4

Wednesday – September 25th

Today   awaits  us  an  exceptional  excursion   to  San  Marino.  Ideally  we  leave  early  by   8am so  we  will have  the pleasure  of  enjoying  not only  the  beauty  of  San Marino  the  smallest  independent  Republic   but   also  the  amazing   Rimini  where I had  the   pleasure  of  spending   ten  years  of  my  life.  My greatest  pleasure  will be  showing  you   around  this  Tourist  Mecca    that   attracts  so  many    holiday  makers   from  around  the  world.  You  definitely cannot  get  a   better  Guide!!!  And  it will be  my greatest  pleasure!Back  to our  Hotel  in  Assisi  for  dinner


Day 5

Thursday – September 26th

Today  after our  buffet  breakfast we set out for the wonderful Cascia  which  immediately  brings to  our mind THE GREAT Santa Rita that has always inspired great DEVOTION.  Visiting  her Basilica ( time to hear Mass as well)  and then  proceeding to Roccaporena  her birthplace  will be like living a fairy  Tale.  The vast  rocky  pyramid  that dominates  the village  of Roccaporena  has  been called “The  Sacred Rock”.  Thousands come here to venerate  Lo  Scoglio  di Santa Rita.  In  some places the water  runs through  canyon  like gorges.  A day spent in  beautiful  country where we  might also stop to buy  local  products to take home  with us.


Day 6

Friday – September 27th

After our buffet breakfast we shall leave for  Pompei..We  shall  be stopping  a  couple  of  times  on  our  way  one  of  which  will  be  for  lunch. On  arriving  in  Hotel  we  take up  our  rooms and    then  enjoy this    attractive  town that  is  famous  not  only    for  the  ruins and  excavations  of  Pompei but  also  for  its  Basilica.   Dinner  in  Hotel  later


Day 7

Saturday – September 28th

After  our buffet breakfast  today we take up our luggage and board  our coach to  start  on  our  way  back  to  Sicily.  We have  to  reach  Catania  airport  by  8.45pm.  KM  Malta AIR   643  is  schedule  to  leave   around  11.40pm .  Our  arrival  in  Malta  is  due  on  00.25.
