Day 1

Thursday – July 15th

Group meets at Malta International Airport at 5:15 am. Departure with Airmalta flight KM 612 is scheduled at 7:35 for Rome. On arrival we board our coach and set on our way to Montecatini Terme, allowing a stop for lunch on our way. So much to admire on our drive up towards the marvelous region of the world-renowned Chianti wine. We proceed by coach to Montecatini Terme where we take our rooms in our most comfortable four-star hotel. Some free time before we meet for our first Dinner in the hotel Afterwards we may enjoy a pleasant stroll and get acquainted with this famous tourist city renowned for its wonderful scenery, thermal baths, and Chianti wine.

Day 2

Friday – July 16th

After our buffet breakfast this morning we are off to visit Pisa and its world-famous leaning tower in Campo dei Miracoli. The Cathedral and the Baptistry are also a great tourist attraction. After photos and the buying of souvenirs, we proceed to Lucca a really splendid town, chosen so many times as a background for filming important films and TV serials. Its fantastic Medieval buildings and artisan shops are surrounded by huge Renaissance walls fronted by gardens and huge bastions. Back to the hotel for our delicious dinner.

Day 3

Saturday – July 17th

The famous picturesque countryside of the Chianti region awaits us after our buffet breakfast. We cross a magical landscape of cypress trees, vineyards, and olive groves until we reach Siena, famous for the Palio, the annual horse-race held in Piazza del Campo. Here we see the Basilica of San Domenico, the Cathedral, and many other sites. We later drive to San Gimignano considered as the most famous small town in Italy. Occupying a prominent position on the Val d?Elsa it presents a breathtaking skyline bristling with towers. Some food sampling, wine tasting, and local shopping are a must before we leave for our hotel where a delicious dinner awaits us. Free time later.

Day 4

Sunday – July 18th

After our buffet breakfast, we may take the cable car and go up to Montecatini Alto, a laid back small village that provides us with a magnificent panoramic view of the area. We can relax in the open restaurants, cafeterias, and many souvenir shops. Spend your afternoon as you please today and enjoy the refined Montecatini Terme, world-renowned for its thermal baths, at its very best.

Day 5

Monday – July 19th

Today we shall leave for La Spezia, where we take a ferry for Le Cinque Terre, one of the most beautiful areas of the Liguria region. Five small picturesque villages are nestled in the cliffs overlooking the sea. On these hills grow the best grapes for the finest wines of the area. A day to treasure, enjoy, and keep in our memories.

Day 6

Tuesday – July 20th

After our buffet breakfast today we may choose to spend the day at our leisure or else choose an optional excursion to nearby Florence, the city of art and culture (the price of this excursion will depend on the number of participants interested).

Day 7

Wednesday – July 21th

Our last buffet breakfast in the hotel and then we shall start on our way back to Rome. Today we are going to visit the largest lake in Central Italy LAGO TRASIMENO renowned for its islands and enchanting beauty. An area that attracts so many tourists and nature lovers will provide us with the ideal setting for our last lunch together. Later in the afternoon, we proceed to Rome Fiumicino airport where we have to be at 7pm (19:00). The scheduled departure with Airmalta flight KM615 is at 21:10. The expected arrival in Malta is at 22:35.
