AN INCREDIBLE HOLIDAY IN SICILY

June 29th  – July 3rd 2022

Day 1

Wednesday – June 29th

Departure on AirMalta flight KM 640 to Catania at 5.35 am. Group has to reach airport by 3.00 am. On arrival in Catania at 6.10 we board our coach and proceed for a quick breakfast before continuing to the centre of Catania. Those who wish, may spend the rest of the morning shopping from the local market or touring Giardino Bellini and the big piazzas. After an optional buffet lunch at Happy WOK, we proceed to our 4-star Hotel in Modica, where we take our rooms and then enjoy some free time before meeting for our dinner.

Day 2

Thursday – June 30th

After our buffet breakfast we set out for Modica with its long and varied history. Modica has also a 400-year tradition of Sicilian chocolate-making. Time to visit a chocolate factory, taste and buy their products and watch the chocolatier. We can board the city train to go round this laid back town and enjoy a panoramic view that will definitely enchant everyone. Some free time before dinner for those who wish to enjoy the pool in the Hotel.

Day 3

Friday – July 1st

After buffet breakfast today, we’re off to the famous Syracuse. First stop at the famous Basilica dedicated to Our Lady, attracting so many pilgrims. This is a place of great devotion. Here we may find time for our Sunday Mass. We then proceed to the famous island of Ortigia. The picturesque village of Marzamemi awaits us later. The old centre of this village dates back to the arrival of the Principe of Villadorata in mid 18th century and is situated around the most renowned Piazza Regina Margherita. After such an interesting day we leave for our comfortable hotel where a delicious dinner awaits us later.

Day 4

Saturday – July 2nd

Today after breakfast we choose to visit Noto another beautiful Baroque town. We shall visit the centre, entering the PORTA REALE that leads us into the city. After a stroll in this beautiful town and time to admire the place, we proceed to our AGRITURISMO in Ispica where we are welcomed by the owner herself who shows us the characteristics of her Kingdom. Will enjoy a typical lunch here if the group wishes(this is optional and price will be according to the number participating). We shall spend time visiting and touring the place. Back to our Hotel for our delicious dinner.

Day 5

Sunday – July 3rd

Buffet breakfast and later in the morning we board our coach to start our journey back to Catania. A stop for some last shopping in CENTRO SICILIA. (opened PRIMARK) Last hours at Porte di Catania for other shopping before we reach Fontanarossa airport. Airmalta KM642 leaves Catania at 20.20 (8.20pm). Arrival in Malta is at 21.00 (9.00pm).
