Day 1

Thursday – December 14th

Departure by Airmalta flight  KM640  to  Catania.  Group must be at the airport at  3:30am. . On our arrival in Catania  we set off for Caffe’ Parisi  for a quick breakfast  (optional  and paid for individually). We start on our way to Messina where coach boards the ferry and we cross  over to  Italy. We proceed to our destination  Nola,  allowing a couple of stops on the way , one of which for a quick  Lunch .  On  arrival we are given our rooms  in our Four star Hotel .  Later on we meet for dinner and enjoy some free time later.

Day 2

Friday – December 15th

After our buffet breakfast we shall  leave for  Naples , starting with a most interesting panoramic tour of this magnificent city. We shall  then go straight to the hub of this glorious city and enjoy Piazza Plebiscito, the famous San Carlo Theatre ,Galleria Umberto I, the Royal Basilica, San Francesco di Paola, Piazza del Municipio, Castel Nuovo and Palazzo Reale.  In the historic centre we may visit the well renowned CRISTO VELATO as well as other famous churches and monuments. A stop for  a quick lunch or a mouthwatering pizza before we are allowed some free time for personal sight-seeing and shopping Those who wish may carry  on with a visit to the Museum of Archaeology. After such a full day, dinner awaits us in our hotel . And this  will  certainly  give  us  a perfect ending to this fantastic day.

Day 3

Saturday – December 16th

After our daily buffet breakfast  we set out for Caserta where (if this  place is open for public visits)   we plan to visit the exceptional  beauty of this  Royal Palace with all its  fantastic  gardens and  all the beauty of the Palace. This will definitely take us the whole morning,. A delicious Lunch will be awaiting us in our Hotel Today and some rest afterwards is recommended   because this evening  we shall visit  THE MOST RENOWNED  LUMINARIA  that  attracts so many people and tourists  in the town of Salerno.

Day 4

Sunday – December 17th

After our buffet breakfast we leave for Pompei where we visit the Sanctuary dedicated to Our Lady of Pompei.   Time  for Holy Mass for those  willing to attend…Afterwards,  Here  in  Pompei  we shall witness the disastrous state that followed the tragic eruption of Mt.Vesuvius in 79AD. After a visit to the excavations in Pompei we realize and understand better how the Romans used to live in those days. We stand on Flegrean soil, so close to Vesuvius and this has definitely left its effects on the whole surrounding area.  A great tourist attraction indeed!!!!!  We continue on our road to Pozzuoli where we admire the Amphitheatre Flavio, the Temple of Serapide, the Solfatara and Rione Terra. Back in hotel for a well-deserved dinner and some relaxation from a long day so full of culture and history.

Day 5

Monday – December 18th

All good things unfortunately come to an end!!! We leave our Hotel  this morning  after buffet Breakfast and start on our way back to  Sicily  We shall be stopping a couple of times on our way, one of which for a quick lunch. Hopefully time permitting, we shall arrive in Catania and do  some last shopping before our transfer  for airport.  Departure on KM  643  at 23.25.  Expected arrival in Malta is at 00.05 ( five minutes past midnight).
